Hi, I’m Jodie, your local Melbourne pet sitter.
Welcome, and thank you for visiting Pooch N Pounce. I’ve always had a love for animals, and spending time with them is one of the things that brings me the most joy. Becoming a pet sitter felt like a natural choice—it allows me to combine my passion for animals with the flexibility I need, and it never feels like work. Every pet has their own unique personality, and I truly enjoy getting to know them, whether that means playtime, long walks, or simply being there to keep them company and make them feel safe.
My love for animals started when I was very young. I grew up surrounded by pets, and one of my clearest memories is when our family cat had kittens. I remember being fascinated and also deeply moved when one of them didn’t survive. Even as a child, it showed me just how important animals are in our lives and how much we care for them as part of the family. That connection has only grown stronger over the years.
When I’m not caring for pets, I love getting out and enjoying everything Melbourne has to offer. From going to the movies, visiting experiences like ArtVo and The Friends Experience, to exploring new cafés and restaurants, I’m always keen to try something new. Travelling is another passion of mine, as I love discovering new places and cultures.

My Process
Step 1: Send a Tail-Wagging Inquiry
Pop your paw on our contact form and tell us all about your furry friend! Whether they’re a playful pup or a curious kitty, we’ll fetch the details we need to get started.
Step 2: Meet & Greet Sniff Test
We’ll arrange a friendly meet and greet to make sure your pet feels comfortable and happy. This is our chance to wag tails, purr hello, and ensure we’re the paw-fect match.
Step 3: Walkies & Cuddles Begin!
Once everyone’s comfy, it’s time to get tails wagging and paws moving. Whether it’s fun-filled dog walks, purrfect kitty care, or cosy pet sitting, your fur baby will be in loving hands.
